In this theory I will state why Jesus Burgess will get Jozu's diamond devil fruit and who is Burgess' match up for the Raftel War.
Jesus Burgess is the helmsman and the first mate of Yonko Blackbeard, being captain of the First Ship .
[Burgess also possesses massive endurance, as seen (pre time-skip) when he took a direct hit from a Gura Gura no Mi strike from the former Yonko Edward Newgate, as well as Fleet Admiral Sengoku's shockwave in his Buddha form without suffering much damage.]
Burgess so far have no devil fruit and the Blackbeard Pirates are consisted of devil fruit users following their captain Blackbeard who will have 3 devil fruits (based on his jolly flag).
The former owner of "diamond devil fruit" is Jozu. We had seen Shiryu use Absalom's devil fruit power and Gecko Moria asked what did the Blackbeard Pirates do to Absalom, where is he? Jozu will die by the hand of Blackbeard's crew but the answer is when? Obviously before Raftel War.
Burgess diamond fruit will increase his endurance even more and make his elbow attack devastating. Burgess had raw strength while Shiryu had speed. What Straw Hats is strength and Speed? That's right, Zoro=strength and Sanji=speed. Back in Dressrosa Burgess VS Sabo scene. Sabo avoided Burgess attack instead of blocking/tanking it. Burgess almost die by Sabo because of Sabo's strength. Therefore Burgess need a devil fruit to enhance his defence. Sabo the second commander under Dragon (Leader/Captain) VS Burgess (first mate of Yonkou Blackbeard).
Sanji hate Absalom for eaten the Suki Suki No Mi. Now that devil fruit is in possess of Shiryu.
Sanji (hell fire) VS Shiryu of the Rain (water, Impel Down is hell theme). Sanji VS Shiryu make sense because of Zoro Sanji rivalry. Zoro VS Burgess (first mate battle). Burgess will be harder to be cut than Pica once Burgess have the diamond fruit. Zoro is Busoshoku Haki (armament haki) and Sanji is Kenbunshoku Haki (observation haki) and Luffy is Haoshoku Haki (King's haki). Mihawk, the strongest swordsman fail to cut Jozu. Mihawk told Zoro in East Blue to "surpass" him. During Mr. 1 VS Zoro scene. Zoro said this;
"What's next? Cutting diamonds?"
"That would be a waste."
Zoro will battle Burgess first, then Shiryu after. I mostly see Zoro and Sanji tag team and cross battle Burgess and Shiryu.
The Straw Hats are not the only ones with power up throughout post time-skip.
The Blackbeard Pirates are growing in strength as well. They beaten the Whitebeard Pirates led by Marco pre Wano Arc. The individual of Blackbeard Pirates are already notorious and strong.
In conclusion:
Burgess will eat the diamond devil fruit.
Burgess VS Zoro (battle of first mate and battle of strength "armament haki") However Zoro will fight Burgess and Shiryu. Sanji fight Shiryu (Sanji will struggle) and Burgess. Rivalry battle.
Burgess harder to cut than Pica.
Jozu is one of the few people who tank Mihawk's slash in Marineford.
Diamond is the hardest material to cut.
Oh last thing. Shiryu is a swordsman and is first seen in Impel down. King the Fire is a former warden of Impel Down. Maybe more hint to Zoro VS Shiryu? Oda please surprise us!!
If Burgess gets Marco's phoenix devil fruit, then that's Jesus Burgess the Phoenix VS Sanji the Firebird.
